Chapter 2 Peyton
- Kay is my soulmate. I don’t care how many fights we have, how many nights I leave her wanting me, begging me to bed her. I would never let her forget me in any way. I might be obsessed with her, but who cares. Since the first day I saw her, I knew she would be mine. I watched her mess around with guy after guy, year after year, until finally she saw me. I mean really saw me. That’s when I struck. They say strike when the iron is hot, and I have never been the type of man that passes up on opportunity. I can remember the way she looked on the day we met, even what she was wearing, and the way she smelled. As I drove us to my parents’ house, I reminisced on that day…
- We had just moved to a new town in Arkansas and my neighbor had come over to introduce himself to my parents. He was bragging to my dad about his “house of women”. He had two daughters and a beautiful wife. His eldest daughter Ema was a pale skinny girl with long dyed black hair. She wasn’t much on the eyes, but she introduced herself to us and she had a nice smile. My little sister took to her right away and they were fast friends. The neighbor, who we called Bug, said his youngest daughter was at cheer practice, but she would be home in a couple hours, and he would send her over to meet us. He left Ema with us and went home.
- The girls played in our room until dinner time and after we ate a light knock sounded at our door.
- “Peyton get the door please.” My mom called from the sink as she washed the dishes. I stood from my seat at the table and went to answer the door. I opened it and my heart stopped. A girl, maybe a couple years older than me, with bright blue eyes, and light brown hair that piled high on her head in a sweaty bun, stood on my porch. She wore a cropped t-shirt with her school logo on it, her small shorts hung low on her hips and high on her thighs. She was the most amazing creature I had ever laid my eyes on, and my tongue dried in my mouth.
- “Hey.” She said sweetly and gave a small wave. “I’m Kay, the neighbor’s daughter. My dad said I should come give you guys this chocolate.” I looked down at her hands and realized one of them held a fistful of candy bars. She shook them as she held them out to me “You don’t have to take them. My dad just thought you guys might want some.” I cleared my throat and tried, unsuccessfully, to deepen my voice.
- “Thanks.” My voice cracked, fucking puberty. She giggled and I felt my cheeks heat in embarrassment. “I’m Peyton.”
- “Nice to meet you Peyton.” She said mirth dancing in her eyes “Do you want the candy?”
- “Oh.” I looked again at her hands “Yeah, we’ll take ‘em.” I reached out for them and as I took them from her our fingers brushed. Sparks danced on my hand, and it felt like electricity. “Whoa.” I pulled back quickly, the candy falling to the ground between us. What was that? Did she feel that?
- “What’s wrong with you?” she demanded an explanation I didn’t have.
- “You shocked me.” I went with the first thing that came into my mind and it seemed like she went for it.
- “Weird, normally when you shock someone it’s like a double shock, you know?” she chuckled a little “Like, you both get it.” I ducked down and scooped up the chocolate from the ground.
- “Well thanks anyways.” I motioned to the inside of our house. “Would you like to come in and meet my parents and my sister?”
- “Oh, no thank you.” She looked away bashfully “I uhm, I’ll come by some time and meet everyone else. Can you just tell Ema it’s time to come home?” She stepped back and went to leave.
- “Yeah,” I called after her “I’ll send her your way.” I watched her retreat towards her house and realized I had been holding my breath. I took a large gulp of air and exhaled heavily. That girl was… something… I turned and walked slowly into my house. I let her sister know it was time to go home and after she left my mother asked me about Kay.
- “I’m going to marry that girl someday.” I stated matter of factly and went about my day planning my future with her.
- Before my memory could go any further, we pulled into my parents’ driveway. I heard Kay sigh heavily. I know her and my parents don’t mix. They are like fire and gasoline. Opposites, but an inevitable evil. Me and my twin sister, Caty, had been change of life babies, meaning our parents were in their sixties when our mother gave birth to us. They were both close to the end of their lives now and Kay and I would not have to endure them for much longer. I couldn’t stand the thought of them running her off, but I couldn’t have her sending them to an early grave either. She would just have to continue until the end, and then I would reward her. She turned to me, her face lacking any feeling as she asked.
- “Are we going to sit here all night?” she huffed, and I fought the smile that tried to form on my face, as I hardened my features. It had to be this way. She would understand one day, and we would be able to put this all behind us.
- “No funny business.” I growled across the car as I opened my door. She hopped out and walked ahead of me. Turning on her heels at the door she dramatically saluted me and pursed her lips.
- “I’ll be on my best behavior sir.” She said mockingly, and I fought the urge to throttle her right there. She would pay for this later and I would enjoy every minute of it.
- “You better get in the house before I make you pay for your attitude right here.” I stalked towards her, and she deflated quickly. She fled from me like a deer fleeing a hunter. Yes, run little deer, run so I can catch you.
- Two Hours Later…
- The visit went as expected. My parents criticized Kay’s outfits, Kay called my mom’s cooking subpar, and in the end my parents leveled her by pulling the guilt card. Because of Kay they would never be grandparents, or so they thought. Kay had hidden the truth of our fertility problems from my parents so that they wouldn’t look at me differently. I was the reason we would never have kids.
- As a teen I had been at a party with some guys I thought were my friends. We all got drunk and after a few hours at the party I found myself tied to a chair, receiving the beating of my life. I was lucky to survive that night. After the beating they dumped me on Kay’s porch. She had just moved into her own place, so she was the only one home. She drug my unconscious body into her house and cared for me. When I regained consciousness, she cried on my chest for hours. I held her in my arms and swore I would never mess around with them again. After that day things were different. I went to a doctor, and he was able to discover that my testicles had been severed in the attack. I could still have sex, but I would be shooting blanks for the rest of my life. There was nothing to be done.
- We made it home before dark and Kay trudged into the house in silent defeat. She knew I would want to talk about it when we got in the house, but I could tell she needed something else today. I let her go into the house ahead of me and followed slowly. As I entered behind her, I heard the shower start and knew she was trying to escape, or maybe delay her punishment. I chuckled. You won’t get away from me tonight little deer, I thought to myself. I walked down the hall and knocked on the bathroom door.
- “See me in the office when you’re finished.” I heard her whimper from the inside.
- “I’ll be there.” She responded so quietly I almost didn’t hear it through the door. Satisfied, I sauntered down the hall to the office. It wasn’t really an office per-se; it was a room we used for our “talks”. We hardly came in here anymore; I’ve neglected her and myself too much lately. The first time I took her into my office was quite spectacular. She had squirmed so much as I bent her over my desk and spanked her for having an attitude at my sister’s wedding. Her little cries of pain and pleasure had pushed me further until she was begging me to take her, make her my sex toy, but I had stopped and left her there leaning over the desk, her ass hung in the air, pants around her ankles, shirt in her arms pits. I walked away knowing she needed more and so did I. I wouldn’t give it to her. Bad girls got punished, good girls were rewarded, and Kay? She was a bad girl. Always pushing my buttons, knowing there would be a price to pay for it.
- It’s been too long since I reminded her who is in charge. Tonight, I will make sure she doesn’t forget for a very long time. I took off my shirt and shoes. My black socks moved silently on the thick carpet of the Office. I had this room soundproofed when we moved in. Kay can be a screamer and we wouldn’t want the neighbors to think I was killing her now, would we? I sat at the desk and patiently awaited her arrival.
