Chapter 14 Lost
- I hated that Luke could do that to me; make me feel so hot from the inside out. I am old enough that I should be able to control myself at this point, but one look from him and I was practically panting. It had never been this way with Peyton. His love was a painful flame in my heart; burning me and consuming me, creating who he had pictured me as. Where Luke’s felt completely physical. I didn’t find my heart burning, rather my body. He lit me on fire in the most delicious way but had no desire to know who I was as a person. It was one of the most confusing feelings I had ever encountered. To love one man, despite his… flaws, while desiring another so fiercely. It was inexplainable. Tonight, I was craving a distraction and starting the night kissing Luke and then cumming on the back of his bike was not exactly how I had pictured things going. I had haughtily tossed his spare helmet to the ground as I entered the bar. I hope it broke, I seethed internally.
- As I entered the bar I realized it was more of a pool hall with a bar. Men in leathers filled the space from wall to wall. All burly and covered in tattoos, and, for a moment, I thought I might have entered the wrong establishment. I scanned the crowd, looking for literally any female face, and found none. I felt Luke’s hand at the small of my back as he entered behind me.
- “You’re my girl, right?” he whispered hoarsely into my ear. I could feel the hot desperate eyes of the men around us as I gulped down my fear. I looked into his hazel eyes as I nodded. He took my chin into his hands and brought my lips to his, claiming me in front of the entire bar. Soon cheers and whistles surrounded us. A few of the men came over to clasp Luke on the back in congratulations as he pulled away from me. He left me breathless and soon I found the face of two women floating in front of me in the crowd. They stood smiling ear to ear behind the bar in front of me. I squished my way through the crowd that had descended on Luke and made it to the bar.
