Chapter 60 Book 2: Seventeen Pt-1

  • Lillian wound her hands round Shane’s neck, she held him tightly to herself. The silent pleas in his voice as he apologized to her hurts her soul, she could remember that on Friday she had asked him to go on his knees and apologize to her but she had never expected him to do it like this, looking so lost and broken. Deep in her heart she wondered what could have happened, why was he like that?
  • “Please…please, can you ever forgive me? Can you ever forgive my ignorant being? I’m so very much sorry,” Shane continued apologizing, his voice a little muffled because of how tightly he placed his head on her stomach, “you were right, you have always been right, and I’m nothing but a fool, I didn’t trust you enough, I didn’t believe in you enough and now I am regretting. I saw you after so many years, but rather than rush to you and welcome you back into my arms, I chose to hurt you more, I chose to blame you for unnecessary things. I am so deeply sorry flower, please forgive me, please.”
  • A tear dropped from Lillian’s eyes, she heaved a deep sigh, trying to hold the tears at bay. Her gaze went to Philip and he immediately nodded and walked away. Turning to the man crying like a child in her arms, she ran her hand through his hair, trying to sooth his pain which she still don’t know what could have caused it. What had happened? Why did he become so remorseful? “Shane…” she whispered.
