Chapter 53 Book 2: Thirteen Pt-2

  • The next morning, Lillian entered Shana’s room, the little girl didn’t turn to look at her or to even acknowledge her presence, she sighed and walked up to the bed, “I will try and come back early to see you to the airport. Listen Shana, whatever I’m doing now is for your own good, when you are older, you will understand. There is a threat on you here and I don’t want that, I will do anything to protect you and you know that. When everything is safe, then I can bring you back here and we can talk about us living here but for now, it’s not safe. I want you to stay in Georgia where I know nothing will happen to you, where I can keep an eye on you” she sighed, “I’m doing everything I can to make sure that nothing happens you, I hope you understand that, after all, you have always been a smart girl,” she leaned down and kissed her black hair, “I will be home soon, okay? I love you,” she waited but the little girl didn’t speak to her and sighing, she left the room.
  • A tear slipped down Shana’s eye, across her nose and landed on her pillow but she didn’t bother to wipe it away, she lay on her bed for a long time, thinking of many reasons not to be angry with her mother but at the end, she got nothing, she was angry, sad and broken.
  • Edna entered the room to call her down for breakfast but after trying for a long time, she had to leave. When it was getting to twelve o clock, Shana got down from her bed to carry out her plan, she had thought about it last night and there was no other way, she would not be leaving the country just when she had come to know her father. She opened her wardrobe, picked out her backpack. Stuffing a few of her clothes inside it, she hid it in the wardrobe, went into the bathroom to freshen up.
