Chapter 20 Chapter Nineteen

• Lillian kept pacing around the room she shares with her mother, last night Shane has asked her to go with him to Chicago, she really wants to go, very much, she has never been out of New York her whole life and she has always wanted to travel around and see the world, but the problem now is how to tell her mother, how can she tell her she will be leaving the house this morning to return tomorrow night? That's impossible.
• Moreover, she can't think of any place she can mention to be going, there is no relative she knows of, as far as she is concerned, her mother is an orphan, being the only child of her parents, it left her with no siblings and thereby making Lillian not to have any uncles nor aunties, her father on the other hand, had issues with his family and he ran away from home, coming to New York and no qualified credentials to find him a better work, he had to settle for working for the Lockwood's, the most influential family in New York then and still now. Their pay was good and he didn't bother about the other jobs anymore.
• So Lilly has no relative she knows of, those of her father who are still around and possibly don't even know of her existence will require her travelling to Ohio and searching for them, that which she has no money to carry out.
