Chapter 30 Chapter Twenty Nine

  • It’s been five days since Abigail’s death and funeral. Shane had been staying with Lillian since then, offering his presence whenever she needs him. He had offered to rent her a new apartment so that it would be easier for her to let go but she had refused, saying that she had been raised in the house and that she wouldn’t want to leave it so soon. She wanted to still feel her mother’s presence before saying goodbye to the house.
  • Shane had understood her and agreed to her wishes. He leaves for work every morning and returns to her every evening, he had no problem sleeping in the house, even though it doesn’t have much space to the ones he had learnt to leave in all his life, he adapted pretty well to the little house.
  • He was in his office when his secretary knocked and entered, he looked up at her, “sir, ma’am wants to talk to you,” she announced.
