  • "A mural? Am I on it?" I kept wondering about that as we walked into the gourmet area of the house. The smell of homemade food in the air distracted me enough to put that thought aside for later—besides, I couldn’t check it out at that moment anyway. If the internet signal was bad in the city, it was even worse out here.
  • “Welcome! Make yourselves at home!” Maxsuel’s mother greeted us warmly. She was notably beautiful—petite, with fair skin, long wavy brown hair, and expressive brown eyes. Beside her, two identical children looked eager to grab some food. One of them, already holding a plate, picked up a potato with his fork.
  • “Boys, have some manners! Greet our guests first!”
