Chapter 25
- The week started with clear skies. I felt the sun on my face as I warmed up for the race. I glanced around at the unfamiliar faces of the other competitors, but none of them seemed to notice me. Meanwhile, Lorraine was getting looks from everyone, as if she were the strongest rival at Siram High.
- "Ready to lose again?"
- A tall girl with curly black hair and dark skin stood face-to-face with Lorraine. A logo was printed on her white uniform—a red bow and arrow inside a stylish crest. Judging by the symbol, I could bet this was the school Nicolas had said was better than ours in this category. Apparently, they were better at racing too…
