Chapter 49 Mia
- We finally arrived. After all the detours, roundabouts, and delays, we reached the campsite where the real party was supposed to be. Unlike the other cars around us, the atmosphere in our car was unusually quiet. I could feel the anticipation hanging in the air, as if we were all waiting for something big to happen. It was evident that this was the real destination, because as soon as we arrived, we were bombarded by a loud, colorful scene.
- The car came to a stop, waiting in line behind other cars to enter the campsite area, which was surrounded by a large fence. Music blasted from the speakers, so loud that it almost felt like our car was moving to the beat, like we were vibrating from the sound. The energy was already intense, even though we hadn’t even entered yet. I couldn’t imagine how crazy things would get once we were inside. My stomach twisted into nervous knots, a mix of excitement and anxiety. It was my first time at a party like this, and my birthday was only a few hours away. It was also the first time I was away from home for my birthday, so it felt even more overwhelming.
- Cars ahead of us started moving, and we followed, creeping along at a snail’s pace. Eventually, we rolled through the gates of the campsite. I glanced out the window and spotted a sign: Welcome to Vibez Camping, hope you enjoy the vibe of our natural home. I couldn’t help but smile at their slogan—it was cute, and it made me wonder why the committee had chosen this place. From the slogan, it sounded like a laid-back, chill spot, the kind of place where you could relax with friends and enjoy nature. But for a wild party? I was genuinely shocked that such a peaceful place could fit that image.
