- I can finally breathe. Assembly is over. His intense stare was on the verge of killing me! I couldn’t even listen to a single word the headmasters said as I was silently praying for all this torture to end. Nathan's eyes never left me, burning into my back so fiercely I thought my WW uniform would melt off. It was unbearable, his constant scrutiny.
- "Phew, I'm glad that is over. Oh, hi!" Tracy says, turning her attention to another girl passing us. I glance at her as she smiles brightly, already blending in with the popular crowd. Of course, she would. It hasn’t even been an hour since we arrived, and she’s already gotten over 15 greetings.
