Chapter 43 Nathan

• It had been a few days since I’d last seen Mia, not since that…incident. But today, I nearly lost it when I found out Hannah and her friends were planning to attend the Academy’s infamous Freshman party. Freshmen—eighteen-year-olds, clueless about what really went on at these events. Worse, Mia, my mate, was going with them. I’d been to these parties; I knew the kinds of people who showed up. In the end, I sent a few bodyguards with Hannah, hoping they'd watch over Mia, too. That didn’t mean I was okay with any of it, though.
• I tried staying home, but rest was impossible. Finally, I grabbed my keys.
• “Yo! Where are you going?” Liam was the first to ask.
