Chapter 7 I Need Help
- The receptionist picked up the landline to place a call, “Sir, there's someone here to see you.”
- Scott's attention remained on his laptop but placed the landline on his ear, holding it in position with his shoulders, “Who is it?”
- The visitor made gestures to the receptionist to not reveal anything about their identity.
- “They’re not telling me who they are. They said they want it to be a surprise.” The receptionist replied.
- Scott frowned, he thought for a while before talking.
- “Okay, I'm waiting for this visitor.” Scott declared before clocking the landline back in position.
- Scott continued with his work until he heard a knock on the door.
- “Come in.”
- Scott paused for a minute, curious to see who was walking in.
- “Hey baby” Isabella cooed as she walked in.
- Scott's brow furrowed at the sight of the lady in front of him.
- “What are you doing here?” Scott interrogated as she got closer.
- Isabella had a slight frown on her face but she replaced it with a smile, “Honey, you don't have to be so cold to me. Can't I come see my husband?”
- Scott's eyes widened in surprise, “Excuse me?”
- Isabella dropped her bag on the table as she took a seat across Scott.
- Isabella rolled her eyes, “Why the reaction? We're still going to get married.”
- “Exactly. We're not married yet so never call me that word, okay? We're just engaged. Mind your choice of words.” Scott corrected in a cold tone.
- Isabella smiled naughtily, “You can only run from that title for a while, soon, you'll have to accept it.”
- Scott glared at Isabella but it didn't stop her from talking, she was used to his cold nature.
- “Anyway, I just finished doing my nails, have a look, do you like them?” Isabella wiggled her fingers in front of Scott but he paid little to no attention to her.
- “I don't care what you do. Get that.”
- Isabella was still persistent, “Okay. Let's go have lunch together. I'm not taking no for an answer.”
- Scott scoffed, “You really think you can force me to go out with you? Nice try.”
- Isabella smirked, “I won't force you. You'll come with me on your own. All I have to do is call my father in law and complain about you.”
- Scott stopped typing, “Don't you dare.”
- “Then come have lunch with me. You can decide to continue your work but I won't be blamed for whatever happens.”
- Isabella rose up from the chair and started towards the door, catwalking gently and hoping that Scott would stop her.
- Scott knew if he let Isabella leave his office, it would make his dad annoyed if he heard about it.
- His dad was the sole reason that he got engaged to Isabella in the first place, and also why he was getting married to her.
- Scott couldn't afford making his father upset.
- “Stop.” Scott ordered.
- “Yes!” Isabella breathed a silent victory.

- “Sophie, the chemistry test results are out.” Amanda announced.
- Sophie looked surprised, “Really? That was really quick. Do you have my script?”
- Amanda pulled out a paper from her book, “Yeah I do, it's here.”
- Sophie took the paper from Amanda, she was curious to see her grade.
- Sophie gasped, “What the hell? A C?”
- “I was equally surprised too.” Amanda said in a sad tone.
- “No no no. Not even a B? a C? This will affect my overall grades.” Sophie quivered.
- “I understand how painful it must be, you can try meeting with Mrs Rose, she might give you a make up test.” Amanda suggested.
- “Have you forgotten I'm the talk of the staff office? She must have heard about my louseness in class, she'll never respond to me.” Sophie cried, frustration tinged at her voice.
- “Hmm, that's true. I know, you can go talk to Mr Gerald. He's your dad's friend right? He'll surely know how to help.” Amanda made yet another suggestion.
- Sophie nodded in agreement, “Yeah, you're right. I'll go talk to him right away.”
- Sophie walked towards Mr Gerald’s office, “Good morning sir.” She greeted him as she got in.
- Mr Gerald was already standing close to the door, “Hello honey” he cooed while trailing a finger down her face.
- Sophie felt uncomfortable with the gesture but she knew he meant no harm. He was her father's friend after all.
- Sophie rounded his body and stopped in front of his desk, “Sir, I need your help.”
- Mr Gerald was struggling with his lustful thoughts as Sophie talked.
- I wonder what her whimper would sound like if her voice is this alluring, he wondered.
- Sophie didn't get any reply, “Sir, can you hear me?”
- Gerald nodded, “Yes baby, tell me, what were you saying?” Mr Gerald got closer to Sophie.
- Sophie didn't mind it, she still didn't think much of it even though it felt somewhat uncomfortable.
- “Sir, I failed my chemistry test. Please, can you help me talk to the chemistry lecturer on my behalf? I need a make up test, please sir.” Sophie implored.
- Mr Gerald stared at Sophie for a while, “What'd you get?”
- Sophie bit her lips, “I got a C.”
- Gerald shook his head, “And that's what you call failure?”
- Sophie nodded, her face twisted in disappointment, “Yes sir it is, it'll affect my overall grade sir. Please help me talk to Mrs Rose about a make-up test.”
- Gerald smiled naughtily at her, “You have no idea how beautiful you look when you whine like that.”
- Sophie felt her heart skip a bit, she moved to the end of the table upon hearing that.
- “Sir, what are you talking about?”
- “Honey, don't be so formal with me. Call me Gerald.” Gerald slid his arms around Sophie’s waist, pulling her close to him.
- Sophie began to panic, “Please, please let me go. I just needed your help and now you're saying things that I don't understand.”
- Gerald kissed her by the neck, “I'm going to help you of course but not without a price.”
- “What price?” A trembling Sophie asked even though she was in an uncomfortable situation.
- Gerald cupped Sophie's face, rubbing it gently, “Spend a night with me, I promise you, you'd love it.”
- Sophie's eyes widened in shock upon hearing that.
- Mr Gerald’s statement had just killed whatever was left of the respect Sophie had for him.
- Sophie broke free from Mr Gerald's grip by pushing him away.
- Sophie stared at Mr Gerald in shock, “You're such an excuse of a man!”
- “Hmm, fiesty.” He said aloud with a cocky smile.
- “Do you realize what you're asking me to do? I'm disappointed in you sir.” Sophie snapped angrily at Mr Gerald.
- Mr Gerald scoffed, “Oh please. You're the one who needs my help so don't make my demand look like a big deal.”
- “I'm your best friend's daughter for God's sake!” Sophie fumed with rage.
- Gerald smirked, “I don't see your point baby.”
- Sophie stared at him in utter disbelief,
- “I will never give in to your stupid demands!” She snapped angrily before making her way to the door.
- “Not so fast sweetie.” Mr Gerald pulled Sophie back before she could walk out, and then he slammered the door shut..
