• "Why the hell didn’t Larry come home last night?” Mr Russuo barked at Scott. The words echoed in Sophie’s mind as she made her way down the crowded hallway, heading to her first class.
• “But why didn’t Larry come home?” she wondered replaying the scene in her head. She had left him countless voicemails and messages, all unanswered. “Could it be because of what I did to him?”
• As Sophie entered her classroom, the usual buzz seemed louder, more chaotic. “Hey, Mandy. What’s going on? Why’s everyone so worked up?” she asked, settling her bag down beside Amanda.
