Chapter 43 Tensions Of The Morning
- Sophie’s eyes fluttered open as sunlight streamed into the room. Larry stood by the window, pulling the curtains wide open. Instantly a sharp pain pierced through her head, and she groaned softly, pressing her fingers against her temples. She stretched, her limbs feeling heavy, before finally sitting up in bed.
- “Good morning, babe.” Larry said, his voice warm and teasing. “You look even more beautiful when you just wake up.” He walked over to the bedside table, glancing at his pool.
- Sophie smiled, still trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. She loved hearing Larry’s sweet voice first thing in the morning. “Morning,” she replied softly, her words accompanied by a gentle smile.
