Chapter 29 The Secret Dancer

• It had been some few days since Amanda and Sophie reconciled, and things were back to normal. Sophie had making an effort to avoid Larry to prevent any trouble with his father. Scott had been away for a while, and though she no longer felt the expectation of seeing him at the club, Sophie was managing. Still, she couldn’t shake the feeling of missing Larry, even though she knew keeping her distance was for the best.
• Sophie was in the costume room, changing out of her outfit after rehearsals for the school play when she heard the door creak open.
