• I tried to console myself over my misfortune. I tried to act like everything was fine, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop the shameless thoughts forming in my head. Throughout the entire day, I did everything possible to avoid crossing paths with King Korvus.
• Whenever I saw him coming, I either pretended not to notice him or quickly turned around and walked in the opposite direction. I was sure he had noticed at some point, but instead of taunting me like he usually did, he simply let me be. He didn't call out to me or demand my attention. It was as if he was granting me the space I so desperately sought. But that didn't ease my mind. If anything, it unsettled me even more.
