• KELILAH’S POV
• The first thing I noticed when I woke up was the strange lightness in my body. The fever that had kept me in bed the entire day was gone. I should have been relieved, but instead, confusion clouded my thoughts. I tried to recall what had happened the night before, how I had ended up feeling so weak, but a dull headache throbbed at the back of my skull, disrupting my ability to think clearly.
• I sighed, pushing the thoughts aside for now. My room was silent—just the way I liked it. No father, no Zara, no endless restrictions and best of all no Korvus.
