Chapter 47

• Loveth’s POV
• The day had passed more peacefully than I anticipated. I completed my tasks efficiently and made my way to join the others for lunch. Surprisingly, there were no hostile glares, no whispered taunts, and no “accidental” shoves. They carried on in their cliques, ignoring me entirely. It was the most serene meal I’d had since arriving here.
• Once lunch was over, I returned to my duties, finishing them without interruption. With no new assignments given, I retreated to the basement. After a quick shower, I changed into fresh clothes and lay on my makeshift bed.
