- When my eyes fluttered open, my vision was blurry. I squeezed my eyelids shut and rubbed them with trembling fingers. As they opened again, I found myself staring at an unfamiliar white ceiling—pristine, flawless, and utterly unfamiliar. My heart skipped.
- Turning my head to the left, I noticed elegant drapes framing a massive window. The sunlight filtering through bathed the room in a golden hue.
