Chapter 25 Unresolved Feelings

  • The glamorous event unfolded perfectly, like a scene from a movie. The air thrummed with the low hum of conversation and the clinking of crystal glasses. It was a celebration of philanthropy, a brand-new era for Hunt Industries. My heart swelled with pride as I heard the new projects in store, including some of Mr. Hunt's last ideas-the plans we crafted together. His redemption had been one of the most wonderful stories our town had witnessed, and his face radiating warmth and genuine sincerity was a sight I simply could never forget. Apparently, some of Mr. Hunt's old associates and executives believed the company was heading in the wrong direction, and they blamed Roselyn for it.
  • "I guess it's hard for them to change their old ways." She murmured beside me. "But this is what my father wanted, and what I plan to pursue in the future."
