Chapter 11 Wildcard

  • My heart raced as I contemplated this unexpected turn of events. I quickly replied to Roselyn's text message, confirming I would be at the studio soon, and made my way out, my mind buzzing with questions. Why did she want to meet me all of a sudden? Did she sense the tension between us tonight? Or was she just teasing?
  • As I walked, I found myself burning from nervousness. I knew this could be my chance to finally address the situation and get some much-needed resolution, but I needed to play my cards right. When I arrived at the studio, my heart was pounding even harder. I took a deep breath and stepped inside, my eyes scanning the room for any sign of Roselyn. She was sitting by the grand piano once more, looking devilishly beautiful in her nightgown; her braided hair resting around her bare shoulders.
  • “Thanks for coming. I’m glad to see you, Lisa” he said, her voice soft and alluring, and turned around slightly. That sight of her was breathtaking, especially under the dim lights, but I had to be extra cautious. Roselyn was a wildcard, and I was too damn scared to lose this game.
