• “Tes, let’s break up.” The words fall out of my mouth and hang in the air. For a minute, neither of us moves. My heart pounds as I await his answer, but I already know nothing he says will change the inevitable. Breaking up was always inevitable. A relationship between the two of us was doomed to fail from the start. I bite my lips, holding back the tears that threaten to fall when he finally speaks.
