• I glance back at the house a second time nervously.  They've been gone for at least ten minutes. What’s taking them so long? What if she says something to Lynn? Brandi wouldn't do that, would she? The Brandi I knew was always calculative and thought everything through, but recently she doesn't act like that anymore. I've come to realize the woman I knew before was just an illusion, and I have no idea who she is. I run my hand through my hair and sigh.
