Chapter 36 Breaking The News
- Dominic’s POV
- I sat in my car for a long time, staring at the dashboard. My mind still reeling from the confrontation with my mother. She had known about Emma all along, about Justin, about the fact that I had children out there that I wasn’t being responsible for and she had done nothing, nothing at all to tell me. I can’t believe she did something like that! How? How could she? How could she allow me leave child out there to suffer just because she couldn’t talk to me. I sighed, banging the steering in annoyance as I tried to calm myself. Right now, I had to focus on the next step: telling Ruby.
- I couldn’t delay any longer. Ruby deserved to know the truth, and Emma, too, even if it was painful. With every passing moment, my anger and frustration grew, but I had to keep it together for their sake. I I drove to Ruby’s house, my heart pounding in my chest. How would she react to this mess? I knew she would be angry, but I had to tell her everything. Emma deserved to know the truth too, but we needed to figure out how to break the news to Emma in a gentle manner.
