Chapter 31 A Superhero!!!

• Dominic’s POV
• I couldn’t stay away from the hospital for long. Guilt gnawed at me, and I needed to see Emma again. As I approached her room, I saw Ruby leaving, probably to get lunch. Not in the mood to deal with her, I waited until she disappeared around the corner before slipping inside.
• Emma was sitting up in bed, her eyes widening with curiosity when she saw me. Her once pale face now held a bit of color, and seeing her like this filled me with a bittersweet mix of relief and heartache.
