Chapter 36 Nothing to Do With You
- When I thought of how Henry and I would never have anything to do with each other again, I felt a crushing pain gripping my chest. I sat in the corner with my hand over my chest as though I was healing a broken heart. After a moment of peace, I felt the pain gradually ease. I gathered my strength, and with the help of the pillar nearby, I slowly lifted myself off the ground.
- The nurse had arrived early this morning to take care of Bobby. It was lucky that Bobby had a cordial relationship with the kind and gentle nurse. However, he was reluctant to watch me go off to work.
- I gave Bobby a gentle peck on the forehead and tried my best to give a wide smile. "I'm off for an interview today. Wish me the best of luck!"
