Chapter 2 I Want to Sleep With You

  • "What's your request?" asked Henry as he narrowed his eyes that were flickered with a warning.
  • "I will not ask you to kill anyone or do anything illegal. I also don't want your money. But, I assure you, you will lose nothing. It will be something within your ability."
  • Even though I had slept with this man once before, I knew he would kick me out if I asked to sleep with him bluntly.
  • I admitted I was a bit shameless in taking advantage of the situation. However, I would do anything for my child, even if I had to do the unspeakable. Moreover, my life was at stake in exchange for the condition. So, it was a fair transaction.
  • "Mr. Quinn, it's about time," Henry's assistant reminded him.
  • This person was my angel because Henry gave me a meaningful look before saying, "Alright, I agree."
  • Then, Henry turned, picked up an opened bottle of liquor on the table, and drank straight from it.
  • His actions were quick and rash as if rules did not apply to him.
  • By the time Henry finished two bottles of liquor, I was already tied on the turntable.
  • Before I could acknowledge my fear, someone turned the turntable. I almost threw up from motion sickness.
  • My head was still spinning when the turntable stopped. It was worse than a roller coaster ride.
  • Someone held my body so that I stood on my feet.
  • I was still nauseated when I heard exclamations from the audience.
  • Then, I knew Henry won the bet, and I was unharmed.
  • "Just name it. What is your request?"
  • When I finally regained consciousness, I realized Henry had been holding me. His words also brought me back to reality.
  • I was alive, so I finally could make my request. As long as Henry agreed, I was halfway to my goal.
  • So, I stood straight and looked straight at the man beside me. "I want you to sleep with me," I said clearly.
  • The room became completely silent.
  • Everyone froze like statues.
  • The man in front of me pulled a face. His eyes that were as deep as the ocean flicked with danger. "Say it again…." Words gritted through his teeth.
  • His dangerous aura hit me hard, who was standing closest to him.
  • I could not help but tremble. "You… promised me," I quivered.
  • I was afraid, but I knew that I could not back off. I was fully prepared, even before making this plan.
  • Right now, I asked him in front of people, Henry would not break his promise for his pride.
  • Suddenly, loud applause broke the silence in the room.
  • The man who was betting with Henry grinned. "This is getting interesting."
  • Then, he turned his head and looked at Henry's dulled face. "Mr. Quinn, you are as good as your word. I bet you would not break your promise?"
  • "Of course not," Henry gritted the words through his teeth. He stared at me like he was going to swallow me whole.
  • Henry's words made me shudder. I tensed up and held my breath upon his glare.
  • "Alright, everyone. Let's give Mr. Quinn some space!"
  • The man waved his hand, and more than half of the people in the room left with him.
  • Only a few of Henry's henchmen stayed.
  • "Are you sure about your request? Just 'sleeping'? Huh?" Henry emphasized the word "sleeping".
  • "I… I…"
  • I was too nervous about finishing my sentence.
  • Henry placed a name card in my hand. "I hope you really think it through. After all, this is a rare opportunity."
  • Then, he chuckled and turned. "Do you know where the women who tried to sleep with me went?" he said softly.
  • Henry's assistant explained. "A year ago, a woman who tried to take advantage of Mr. Quinn was sent into exile in Africa. Of course, Mr. Quinn would keep his words, but are you sure you are ready for the consequences?"
