Chapter 59
- Leonardo's POV
- I woke up that morning with the sun coming through the curtains and my bed feeling too big because Genna’s side stayed empty and cold since she left. I lay there a minute thinking about how quiet the house felt without her laugh or her footsteps or her voice calling Denise downstairs.
- I missed the way she made breakfast messy but happy with flour on her nose and Denise giggling while they cooked together. I missed her hugs when Denise fell asleep on her lap and the way she looked at me like I could do no wrong.
