• I lay in the hospital bed with the IV still in my arm and the monitors beeping slowly. Tears kept coming because Leonardo walked out without looking back and his face stayed stone cold when Adriana told him everything.
• The room felt empty and huge after the guards dragged her out and the door closed quietly behind them. I stared at the ceiling, felt my heart break piece by piece because I lost him tonight. I knew it the second he moved his hand away from mine.
