• Leonardo's POV
• I stood beside the bed with my hands folded in fists and my heart beating too loud. Adriana waited for my nod because I needed to hear every detail even if it destroyed me. I gave the nod shortly and told the guards to leave the room and close the door behind them.
• They went out quietly without questions and the click of the door sounded final in the silence. The room felt smaller now with only the three of us left and the monitors beeping steady behind Genna’s quiet crying because she still would not turn to face me.
