Chapter 54
- Leonardo's POV
- I woke up early that morning with the bed sheets tangled around my legs and the room feeling colder than usual because rain still pattered soft against the windows and the air carried a chill that settled deep in my bones.
- I lay there a minute staring at the ceiling while memories of Genna flooded my mind uninvited with her happy laughter echoing in my ears from days when she chased Denise in the garden or teased me during breakfast and her radiance that used to light up every room she entered. Now she just left everything dim and lifeless.
