• I growled as I looked at the bundles of cash Mom dropped on the center table before sitting on a single-seater couch inside our bedroom. “I found these inside the safe. No one else has access to the safe’s combination except you and me, Dorothy. What is this cash for? I never thought of you as a hoarder if I hadn’t found this. Care to enlighten me?” Her tone was impartial, and her face unreadable. This is the first time I've seen her questioning Dorothy. Although her words were filled with curiosity rather than accusation, uneasiness grew inside of me.
• Today, Mom transferred all of Dorothy’s belongings from Luna’s chamber to our shared room. She wanted us to move into Luna’s chamber and make it our conjugal room because Dorothy is the current Luna and the room rightfully belonged to her, but we refused.
