• The former alpha spewed a series of expletives under his breath. He couldn’t attack me because of the thick grills separating us, but he wouldn't be a match for me even if there weren't partitions. However, I am not sure if I could bear to attack him either. He probably is the same age as Dad, and it wouldn’t be a fair fight.
• “Alpha,” Dad’s gentle voice broke the tension in the facility. He placed his hand on the alpha’s shoulder while all the warriors stood behind them in attention. Did they realize that I am inside the holding cell? I couldn’t even touch their alpha even if I wanted to.
