Chapter 63 Dreamlink
- “Nana. Nana.”
- Yuri came running, slamming the door open, and immediately took his new trophies from his backpack. “I won the regionals championship for track and kickboxing again, Nana,” Yuri exclaimed with his sweet, innocent smile spanning from ear to ear as he hugged his Nana before he delivered the good news. This happened six years ago. Yuri has been out of Siberia for one month, competing in the regional kickboxing competition and the regional track and field championship.
- He pulled out of the hug and excitedly said, “Coach Levi told me to prepare for the nationals. He promised to get sponsors for me, and he’s also trying to enlist me in the ‘Cup of Siberia,’ which is scheduled four months from now in Krasnoyarsk. Coach said I have an advantage, plus I still have time to practice my kicks, both offense and defense. It means I have a shot at the national championship. Also, Coach Alexei already has a list of sponsors and magazine interviews lined up for the track. He was planning to enlist me for the Siberian Ice Half Marathon competition in Omsk, and later for the Olympics,” Yuri fished a piece of paper from his backpack and excitedly placed it in front of Ivan, pressing it with his hands to remove the folds. “He needs your signature, Nana,” he said pleadingly, without giving his father a chance to answer.
