Chapter 57 Ash And Brotherhood

  • Bryan left last. Darren waited for him outside. And when he emerged, he followed him down the dimly lit corridor, the echo of their footsteps bouncing off the walls. Bryan’s pace was slow, deliberate, but the grimace on his face betrayed the pain he was holding back. They reached Bryan’s room, and Darren pushed the door open.
  • “Sit,” Darren said softly, gesturing to the chair by the bedside. Bryan obeyed, wincing slightly as he eased himself onto the edge of the bed. He removed his shirt to expose his injuries fully.
  • Darren cursed under his breath at the sight of the cuts. “You should have gone straight to the girl,” he said, examining the shallow cuts along Bryan’s arm.
