- Darren appeared in the doorway and sat on his seat, staring at the floor as though it had personally wronged him. His usual unreadable mask was in place, but something sharp still edged his features.
- “You didn’t have to glare him out of the room, you know,” Nina said lightly, testing the waters.
- Darren didn’t look up. “Didn’t glare at anyone.”
