- Smith gave a low whistle. “Every time, I forget he keeps this here.”
- Bryan entered the code on the keypad, and the door slid open with a hiss. Inside was a mini-armory masquerading as a library—rows of neatly arranged weapons, ammunition, and gear resting against the walls, tucked behind panels disguised as more bookshelves. Even some product samples were hidden there too.
- “This isn’t war,” Bryan reminded them, his tone sharp. “We’re eyes, not guns. But if someone spots you?” He paused, his gaze flicking from one man to the next. “They don’t walk away.”
