• I couldn't help but shift back by his intimidating form towering over my petite one. "Who is yours? Last time I checked I didn't approve to be your mate or anybody else's," I said boldly even though deep down my chest was escalating inside its ribcage.
• The corner of his lips twitch up. I nearly glared at him. "What!" I exclaimed. He took another step almost closing off the few inches that were left between us. This time around I didn't initiate to shift back from where I was standing.
