- I hauled my head up, omitting a sound as I ground my teeth at my enemy, clutching my claws around his neck. A grieving sound escaped him as he tried to free himself from my attack. However, I had already found the spot that would defeat him, and it did. He let out an unknown sound before collapsing on the grass, reverting to his human form.
- I instantly recognized him. He was one of Nathaniel's men, still resorting to cheap tactics. Changing back to my human form, I saw that the full moon was about to disappear. He really wants me to come face-to-face with his father. I thought bringing Rose would be much safer. Papa isn't helping matters. He knows how badly I want the throne. I'm still waiting to receive the information about Rose's parents from Ian. My instincts are telling me there's more to her parents.
