• I've never been confused before in my life like I was at the moment. Hunter's mother's words kept ringing in my head. How comes my father is a wolf, a gamma at that, and I have no idea about it? My mom didn't say anything about it until I heard it from somewhere else. I feel like she's hiding something from me. One way or another, we have to sit and talk about it. My phone vibrated in my bag as I made my way back to Hunter's house. I know he told me he'd come pick me up, but I lost the strength in me. I don't think I have the patience to wait. I was met with a message from Mom telling me she'd be back tomorrow morning as she's taking the night plane.
• Part of me was relieved that we'd get to discuss it, and another part was nervous. Am I ready to take in everything? The truth? All sorts of thoughts kept forming in my head, and I didn't notice the look the driver was throwing at me.
