• I paced around the room continuously as I awaited Rose's arrival. For some reason, my mind wasn't calm. I don't know why, but her thoughts have clouded my mind lately. I know I was supposed to focus on finding her father and dealing with Nathaniel. But then, my heart isn't cooperating with me the past few days. When Ian alerted me that he saw Nathaniel heading towards Rose's area, I knew I had to do something, which is why I went to her house and found out that Nathaniel was surely up to something. And as stubborn as she is, she finds the slightest chance to make me angry, even if I don't plan on fighting with her, she'd make that happen.
• I really need to get my act together and focus on my task at hand. I won't allow any woman to tame my heart.
