• Thirty minutes passed by, and my eyes were wide open as I waited for my Mom to arrive at the hospital. After the stunt I pulled earlier, I'm more than enough to show Hunter that I'm capable of doing more. The look that was plastered on his face when the doctor announced that I'd be staying at the hospital was priceless.
• He left in anger, not before sending threatening looks to me. I know he ain't giving up. But at least, I know I'm free from being a hostage. At least for now. My eyes were fixated on the door as I heard it making a sound. My mother's face surfaces. She stood rooted by the door as tears welled up in her eyes. I found my eyes welling up too. "Rose," she whispered, taking slow steps towards me.
