• I can't remember when my wolf was last shaken up. When it happens, I usually control it, but today was different. I've never wanted her so badly before. Her smile, her angry face, the way she stood her ground and ranted at me. I want her. Every little thing about her entices me. I want everything about her. I want her to be mine. Forever. I watched as she took slow steps towards me, her hips swaying with each step. The black dress clung to her body, sparking different and strange thoughts in my head. The thought of her lips on mine, her hands exploring different places on my body—what would it feel like to do all of that with her? To mark her as mine. Mine and mine alone.
• I know I came for a mission and need no distractions, but the little miss would surely be a distraction to me. If I don't compose myself, our mission will fail. That means all the days we've been planning will come to naught. My thoughts halted when she stood in front of me, leaving only a few inches between us. I wouldn't mind closing that space, but that would have to wait. I won't let myself make a wrong move.
