Chapter 83 A Ray Of Hope
- POV Adrien.
- I haven’t been able to sleep all night. The first light of day timidly filters through the window, weakly illuminating the dim room. I watch the sunrise with my thoughts overwhelmed by worry. My mind fills with images of Isabella, and I wonder if she has been able to sleep tied to that chair. A shiver runs down my spine as I remember that I was the one who left her alone, ignoring that nagging feeling that told me something was wrong.
- As I contemplate the amber glimmers on the horizon, I silently curse myself for not following my instincts and staying by her side. Guilt tightens around my chest and quickens my heartbeat.
