Chapter 63 The Possible Arrival Of A New Being

• Adrien finally returned from his business trip. During his absence, the days seemed to drag on slowly, but I had the chance to visit my mom and Sophia. We had a wonderful time together, reminiscing and sharing laughs. However, Tania was so busy with work that I could only talk to her on the phone. We caught up on our lives and encouraged each other amid our daily routines. Although we would have loved to meet in person, circumstances didn’t allow for it at that time. Fortunately, technology gives us the ability to stay connected.
• Even though Adrien continues to show me his affection as always, things between us have changed since I was unfaithful. While he has shown understanding and has tried to rebuild our relationship, I still don’t feel completely comfortable or ready to resume the intimacy we used to have, as I don’t feel worthy of his love. Although we share the same bed, our nights together are now purely platonic. Adrien has respected my need for time and space to heal, and he has been understanding of my emotional recovery process.
• After the time I spent missing Adrien, I realized that my focus has completely shifted. My thoughts and emotions were entirely dedicated to his return, and I didn’t feel the motivation or energy to get back to work. I decided to wait until after our second honeymoon to fully focus on it. Although Adrien hasn’t expressed much opinion on the matter, I know he’s not entirely convinced about me returning to work. However, he is aware of my independent nature and knows that I have always valued my financial independence.
