Chapter 74 Happy Birthday

• The day of my birthday has finally arrived. However, the recent accident and everything it entails have wreaked havoc on our plans for a second honeymoon. Despite this, Adrien has promised me that once we get through this situation and I’ve fully recovered, we will take that trip. There’s no doubt that I long for that moment now more than ever, to be able to get away from everything and everyone, and finally heal all the wounds we’ve experienced, especially the ones we’ve shared. We both need this opportunity to heal and rebuild what we’ve lost.
• But my husband doesn’t want my birthday to pass like any other day. I’ve agreed to have at least an intimate family dinner and celebrate surrounded by our loved ones. So, we decided to invite my parents, Adrien’s parents, Carl, his wife, and their children.
• My parents immediately accepted, excited to be present for my birthday despite the difficult circumstances we’ve faced lately. Adrien’s parents were also delighted with the idea, aware of how important this day is for me and what it means for our relationship. Carl and his family also confirmed their attendance.
