Chapter 12 The Sunflowers

• I’m taking a shower when I hear the unmistakable sound of my cellphone, which seems like an alarm siren in the silence. I hurry out, furiously grabbing the bath mat, causing me to stumble and grab onto the towel rack, which, thank God, is sturdy enough to prevent me from crashing to the bathroom floor. I curse under my breath from the immense scare I just got.
• After wrapping myself in a towel, I head to the bedroom where my cellphone continues to ring incessantly. I roll my eyes upon seeing the name on the screen and swipe my thumb to answer the call.
• — Because of you, I almost had the biggest fall of my life! — I say as I accept the call while drying my hair with one hand.
