Chapter 44

• Miranda had finished her dinner and returned to her room to bathe. She tried not to think about Derrick or his mother and how her day had been hectic with a lot of jealous maids gossiping about her.
• Miranda entered her bathroom to bathe, and when she was done, she heard a knock on her bedroom door just as she walked out of the bathroom, startling her.
• "Who's there?" Miranda inquired, but Juliet quickly peeked her head into Miranda's room and informed her, "Miranda, Master Derrick requests that you see him upstairs immediately."
