• Miranda felt uneasy, as she didn't know why Alex had been following her all afternoon. He sent her on errands, and now he was boldly standing beside her, not caring if she lost her job.
• Miranda wanted to distance herself from the tall man. He was different from Derrick. He talked a lot and was more approachable.
• Most of the maids were also discussing how they liked him, unlike the boss. But with Juliet around, the maids only gossiped behind her back.
