• "Ha!" Most of the maids gasped, not expecting Alex to be so shameless as to admit his feelings for Miranda or for Juliet to lose her temper to the point of delivering a "factory reset" slap to Alex.
• His dark eyes surged with anger as they narrowed at her.
• "How dare you raise your hand to hit me? Have you gone mad?" Alex demanded, and in the next moment, he seized Juliet against the wall, his hand clutching her neck as he interrogated her.
